In the highlands of Northern Thailand, there was once a truly isolated tribe They are known and famously called as phi (spirit/ghost) They lived deep in the forest, completely isolated from outsiders ..... Due to their traditional subsistence through hunting and gathering, the Mlabri are often considered "living fossils" -but this is an inaccurate characterisation. A recent genetic study found that the Mlabri were established about 500 to 800 years ago, from a very small number of individuals who engaged in agriculture. Over three decades, significant social changes have taken place within the community, as a result of large-scale deforestation, which occurred at the end of World War II, along with a state-led policy, which has been conducted since the mid-1980s. Today, they lead sedentary lives, engaging in wage labour, cash crop cultivation, and ethnic tourism. One could ask: How much would the world change without the Mlabri? An example will suffice to answer this question. The word " jealousy " does not exist in their language, which is to say that they have never been envious of others. Yet today, this is no longer the case. As they are integrated into That society under the banner of development, young Mlabri in particular have begun to understand the modern world and have started to express this feeling. They now have a measure to compare themselves with others. Thus, some Mlabri youths, aware that they are disadvantaged in all possible ways, are finding it increasingly difficult to see their position within Thai society in a positive light.

Fast food is widely knowns in most populated countries. Now, fast food has become part of urban people's life because it offers a delicious quick-meal at a small price. However, consuming fast food such as hot dog, hamburger, fried chicken, soft drink, and many others may frequently cause several bad impacts on your health. In many countries, dieticians often emphasize the dangers of consuming too much fast food. Fast food is high ini in calories but they come from unhealthy fat and added sugars. Therefore, the food provides few nutrients. The imbalanced content from this kind of food may trigger various diseases. Obesity is one of the most possible impacts of consuming too much fast food. Besides, it can also increase the risk of hypertension, heart attack, as well as diabetes. A study showed that children who consumed a lot fast food had lower IQ than children who ate less fast food. Although the difference was subtle, the study proved that fast food that children consumed at the age between 6 and 24 months gave a small but significant effect on their IQ when they reached 8 years old. In addition, most fast food meals have the artificial additives and sweetener to maintain their texture consistency, to give them longer shelf-life, and also to enhance the flavor. These subtances contribute to the good taste of fast food. Pregnant women should also avoid eating fast food. Eating such food is not only bad for the mother herself but also for the baby. The nuclear industry is in near-terminal decline world-wide, following its failure to establish itself as a clean, cheap, safe or reliable energy source. It is currently desperate to find a valid rationale and justification for renewed state support and funding. It is promoting the claim that as nuclear power station does not emit carbon dioxide, the major greenhouse gas, switching from fossil fuels to nuclear power is the only way to cut Carbon Dioxide (CO2) without radically changing consumption patterns. However, even the most perfunctory examination of the issue shows that nuclear power has no role whatever in tackling global climate change. In fact quite the opposite is true; any resources expended on attempting to advance nuclear power as a viable solution would inevitably detract from genuine measures to reduce the threat of global warming. Nuclear energy produces no greenhouse gases, but it has many drawbacks. Now a radical new technology based on thorium promises what uranium never delivered: abundant, safe and clean energy and a way to burn up old radioactive waste. Named after Thor, the warlike Norse god of thunder, thorium could ironically prove a potent instrument of peace as well as a tool to soothe the world's changing climate. With the demand for energy on the increase around the world, and the implications of climate change beginning to strike home, government are increasingly considering nuclear power as possible alternative to burning fossil fuel. A thorium reactor is different. And, on paper at least, this radical new technology could be the key to unlocking a new generation of clean and safe nuclear power. It could prove the circuit-breaker to the two most intractable problems of the 21st century: our insatiable thirst for energy, and the warming of the world's climate.
